的答案選項--assure/ ensure/ insure/ reassure。
1. assure (vt.) 擔保 + 人 + of + N.
例：The unions assured the new owners of the workers' loyalty to
the company.
(工會向新的業者擔保員工對公司的忠誠。)
Ava assured John (that) the car would be ready the next day.
(Ava向John保證車子隔天就會準備好。)
2. ensure (vt.) 確保
例：The airline is taking steps to ensure safety on its aircraft.
(航空公司正在採取措施以確保其航班的飛行安全。)
The role of the police is to ensure (that) the law is observed.
(員警的職責就是確保人們遵守法律。)
***比較：所以assure跟ensure最大的差別在於：assure意思是向「人」
擔保，但ensure是確保一件「事情」。
3. reassure (vt.) 使放心
例：I was nervous on my first day at college, but I was reassured to see
some friendly faces.
(踏進大學的第一天我很緊張，但是當我看到那麽多友善的臉
孔，心裡感到踏實多了。)
4. insure (vt.) 為…投保
***用法：beV insured for + $
beV insured against + 意外、災害
例：The house is insured for two million pounds.
(該房子投保了200萬英鎊。)
All our household goods are insured against accidental damage.
(我們家裡所有的物品都保了意外損失險。)
