TOEIC多益必備單字-相似字篇


多益很常考的單字題裡,有一種選項組合是四個單字都長得很像,我們就把它稱為
相似字考題。今天戴爾美語老師來帶你們看一組很常出現的單字組,並補充它的同
義字和用法,雖然有些單字偏難,但讓你一次學會所有同義字~check it out 1. prove (vt.) 證實 等同於 substantiate, corroborate
2. approve (vi.) 批准;准許,後面通常 + of → The UN Security Council is considering whether to approve of the economic 
sanctions on North Korea. (聯合國安理會正考慮是否准許對北韓實施經濟制裁。) ***亦可作為及物動詞(vt.) 贊同 + N. → The survey showed that 32% of respondents approve, 54% disapprove 
and the rest are undecided. (調查結果顯示有32%的受訪者贊同,54%的受訪者不贊同,而剩下的受訪者 尚未決定。)
3. disprove (vt.) 反駁 等同於 rebut, refute, contradict → The hypotheses have been disproved.(那些假說已被證明不實。)
4. improve (vt.) 進步;改善 → Some athletes take drugs to improve their performance.(有些運動員會吃藥
加強自己的表現)。
5. reprove (vt.) 指責 + sb for N. → The teacher gently reproved the students for not paying attention. (學生不專心,老師溫和的指責了他們。)
