hand-made / home-made / artificial
1) Please enjoy our (hand-made / home-made) jam.

hand-made與home-made都有自己製作的意思，但在本句當中，應說是home-made jam，自製的蛋糕是home-made cake，私釀的啤酒是home-brewed beer。若是烘焙類食品，除了說home-made以外，還可以說home-baked cookies / cake /bread，私釀酒還可說是house wine。

(2) This canal is the longest (artificial / man-made) waterway in the world.

artificial 及  man-made 都是指人工製造的，不過兩者有些微差異。 artificial 是相對於  natural 的形容詞，表示非天然，而是人工的，或是模造的，
例如：artificial flowers(人造花)  / artificial rain(人造雨) / artificial turf(人工草坪 ) / artificial leg(義肢)。
甚至可以用來形容人做作的行為，例如：artificial smile(假笑)。artificial tears (可指人工淚液， 也可以是假裝悲傷而留下的眼淚)。

man-made的基本意義是仿照自然的意思，例如：man-made lake為仿造自然的人工湖，man-made satellite是人造衛星。天災是  natural disasters，而人禍是  man-made disasters，在例  (2)中水道，指的是反照自然建造而成的，所以應該用  man-made。
此外，man-made還有後天合成的意思，例如：  man-made fiber(合成纖維)，有synthetic的意思。

anxious / eager

(1) I am (anxious / eager) to go to Italy this summer.

anxious和eager後面加to V，表示非常想要…，anxious表示想要改善狀況的心情，或是不知道會不會如想像中發展的不安心情，另外，eager表示積極的想做某件事的強烈慾望。在例 (1)中，如果用anxious，就表示一種不確定的不安感，如果是用eager，就是表達一種願望。所以在本句中，兩個答案皆可。

(2) I am (anxious / eager) to see how Australian people celebrate Christmas.

在本句中，呈現的是想了解澳洲人如何過聖誕節，這只是一種願望，並沒有不安的成分，應該是選eager。

如果應該發生而沒有發生的事情，會造成不安，就可用anxious，例如：I am anxious to hear from my family，如同I am impatient to hear from my family.

除了be eager to，還有be keen to V / be longing to V / be dying to / can hardly wait to V。

(1) We were very keen to start work.

(2) I’m longing to stop commuting every day.

(3) I’m dying to hear the news.

(4) I can hardly wait to be in France.
