【TOEIC多益單字加油站】多益常考詞類變化compliment VS complimentary

compliment (n./vt.)  稱讚、讚美 + sb. + on sth.

例：The teacher complimented the student on his brave deeds.

      （這老師因為該名學生的勇敢行為而稱讚他。）

       = The teacher praised the student for his brave deeds.

complimentary (adj.)  贈送的；免費的 = free, at no charge

例：The Canal Hills Hotel offers a complimentary breakfast daily, which includes a rotating selection of items.

（Canal Hills飯店每天都提供免費的早餐，包含輪流更換的餐點選擇。）

[注意]

complementary (adj.) 互補的；補充的

beV complementary to N. 與…相輔相成

例：Science and Spirituality is complementary to each other.（科學與精神上的事物具有互補性。）
